We’ve got a show this Sunday. Its a benefit for Autism research, which should be enough reason to go, but its also very likely the last show at the moose lodge…or at least the last show involving hardcore, punk, metal or anything like it. As usual, a vibrant venue that should be embraced by the community as a haven for music, art, and kids not partaking in drugs/alcohol/general stupidity is gone. Anyways, without getting too far into that, here is the flyer for the show…which I believe starts at 6PM (not on there for some reason). Also, KISSINGER has replaced LENORE, which is alright because we love everyone in that band. Except the bassist we don’t know yet and Moses…because he is Moses. (<3z).

Alright, time get ready to go see Every Time I Die at some random sleezy cowboy bar with a mechanical bull….this is going to be awesome / hilarious. Here’s to hoping I don’t re-injure my knee and can walk for the show sunday. Eek.

SHOW SUNDAY – BENEFIT FOR AUTISM RESEARCH. R.I.P. Moose Lodge.
Posted in Shows, Talk on June 26, 2009 by ANCESTOR.More quickness.
Posted in Talk on June 11, 2009 by ANCESTOR.Almost forgot to give my (attempted, but sometimes bi-) weekly “hello”.
We’re continuing to work around everything else and try to play shows and practice when we can. Still working on some stuff for late summer. More hints when that is solid.
Treading info:
Remember the show that was the 19th (w/ Blues, The_Network) IS CANCELED. Still lame. Burdens and Cut Short are playing in Chris’ basement, got to that maybe. They are touring all next week, so check those myspaces and go support them. Even Dan.
June 28th is on, and is a benefit for Autism research, so go or you’re soulless.Working on at least one show so far in July. Will be a fun one, will be for a good cause, will be in Ambler.
Send us shows. More hardcore shows (and of course, any other genre) are always welcome. I want to yell things at you.
Trevor and I just got back from Dillinger Escape Plan and my ears feel like I’m in a submarine and need to pop. Totally worth it. Put any doubts about their new drummer aside, he is ridiculous.
Hopefully I’ll have a real update soon, might have to skip next week though considering our guitarists will be on tour and i’ll be dorking it up at Wizard World Philly (über-nerd comic/entertainment convention) for at least a day (Ahem…hey ladies…)./
Go get the new Coalesce album whether you did or did not steal it from the interwebs already. Ridiculous. Put a lot into the package as well, so get the real thing.

Another quick one.
Posted in Shows, Talk on May 31, 2009 by ANCESTOR.We’ve been quiet because, as often is the case, life hates us and everyone has been pretty busy outside of the band.
We’re still planning to put together something in the late summer that should be really cool, and when details are more definite maybe we’ll start blabbing about it.
We’ve got a show saturday at the Doylestown Teen Center, but I can’t seem to get any definitive details on that, haha. Our show June 19th with Blues and The_Network unfortunately got canceled for a variety of reasons, but we’ll still be at the moose lodge June 28th playing to benefit autism research.
We’re looking for stuff in July and beyond, so let us know if you’ve got any shows we could hop on.
Drop a line here or at myspace if you want to know anything or just say “hi”.
Moe’s ran out of tofu, mushrooms, and sweet tea today. What the hell man.
Quicky.
Posted in Talk on May 20, 2009 by ANCESTOR.Thanks to everyone who came out last thursday, and to anyone new to us: thanks for checking us out and having a good time. The show was in honor of a tragic event, but definitely was a good time and had a lot of highlights. Great to see so many kids show up that early in the show and on a thursday. Too bad a lot of you young folks had to leave before Cetus went on, they were heavy enough to induce seizures and cause organ displacement simply from sound waves, and it was incredibly welcome. Also, I hurt myself headbanging for them.
We’ll have news on something later this summer we’ll be working on that should make people, new and old, pretty happy. Or so we hope.
I am not telling you now. Nope. Any time we announce anything, it gets jinxed or messed up (knock on fake desk wood), so I’m waiting ’til its happening or at least all set to.
Also, its my birthday, go buy our damn EP…we may need the cash soon.
As always, contact us here or on myspace if you want to know anything.
Really can’t think of anything else right now.

SHOW THURSDAY w/ CETUS, LENORE, & more! Remembering Anthony Ayala.
Posted in Shows, Talk on May 11, 2009 by ANCESTOR.Not a lot to report I don’t think. Friday sucked. Haha.
I’ll keep this one short and tell you about the show you’d be stupid not to go to whether we were playing or not Thursday.
In a tragic and unfortunate moment, Anthony Ayala took his own life recently. In an attempt to help the family pay for the costs of the funeral and all of the emotionally debilitating and financially draining things that go with it, a benefit show is being held on thursday night featuring music by local bands Anthony listened to as well as projects his friends are involved in.
If that isn’t reason enough for you to come, and on a lighter note, this is Cetus‘ first show in quite a while, and the first since they released their new EP “Centrifuge”, which is available for free download here (listen for my guest vocals on the title track).
Plus, you have nothing better to do and can feel like you have a soul while you have fun at a show, so its a multiple win situation.

See you there, take care of yourselves.
