NEW BAND MEMBER, NEW SHOWS, FREE STUFF. Snap.

Damn, I had a version of this entry typed up a week ago. I apologize again for the slackery. Trying to get some things straightened out.
We’ve added 5 shows to our myspace in the last week or so and it looks like things are going to pick up in the summer. Things might continue slow-ish (our current speed) for a month or so as we write some more, get our schedules in check, and accommodate a few changes…well, screw dancing around that one anymore:

CHRIS EVANS WILL BE OUR NEW GUITARIST, EVAN IS MOVING ON to an old people’s home or something. We love Evan and we love his contributions to what we’ve been doing, but he is cutting down on music a bit so he can work a lot and be an adult and get his hip replaced and find his dentures and stuff like that. We are extremely excited to have Chris coming in and becoming an official part of the band instead of the guy who has saved our ass a few times when someone else couldn’t play guitar. We know Chris will make the transition as if he has always been playing with us and can’t way to see where this new chapter takes us. Holy crap that sounded cheesy, but you get the idea. I’m not entirely sure what Evan is doing with his other bands, but look out for new Cetus (I make a little guest vocal appearance, YAY.) and new Hollenlarm pretty soon. They will no doubt be very awesome.

Additonal status updates:
- I’ve been sitting on a shirt design for a while, I might make it a long sleeve now. I’m working on another design that is utterly (that is not a hint, no relation to cows) ridiculous. Should have some sticker designs done very shortly and already have some buttons ready. Expect to start seeing all of it soon. I’m going to whip myself like an albino monk in a lame movie adaptation of a ridiculous book in order to get those done soon.
- Currently we have shows scheduled May 2nd, 8th, June 6th, 19, and 28th. They are all awesome for their own reasons. Spread the word and come out.  Things will be getting ridiculous.
Burdens is doing a mini-tour thing April 15th, 17th, and 18th…so you can go check those shows out since we’ll be quiet this April. Or if you’re a dude who likes putting other dudes in his mouth…I mean, I’ll probably be at a couple. Wait…damnit.
- YOU CAN STREAM ALL OF OUR “KOALACAUST” EP FOR FREE HERE. NOW. Do it. Then buy it and stop being a cheap bastard.
- Silence At Daybreak’s full-length “The Irony of Disgust” is now available for FREE download here. It costs nothing, so, now more than ever, you are a damn idiot if you don’t check it out.

Friday the 20th we played at Creep Industries and more of you should have came out. Due to the confusion with the line up, we made the show  free and all had a jolly time…plus, The Heartland were awesome (check them out, hopefully we’ll get them back around soon). Look for shows there again soon, they are trying to make it a regular thing…we may even get back there pretty soon. It’s a cool store run by nice dudes where bands play in tiny spaces with a loud PA. What more do you want?

Enjoy whatever it is you do with you life.
Converge rules you all. You know if you were there.

Originally, I was waiting to post this until I had more info…unfortunatley, the information on that flyer is the extent of the information I have. The guy who asked us to play and such has been in Japan, so…that flyer is what we know, haha.
Creep Industries is a great and tiny record store, so it should be a really good time if anyone shows up, haha.
The Heartland is on tour from Ohio, so come out and make them feel welcome.

Go scope myspaces and stuff.
ANCESTOR. (come on, you should really know this by now.)
THE HEARTLAND.
CREEP INDUSTRIES.

PLEASE, IF YOU ARE READING THIS: SPREAD THE WORD. Bring a friend, tell a friend, repost the flyer somewhere…anything. We’d greatly appreciate it.

Thanks.

Shows, apology, and blue dong.

So I totally failed at updating this for the last couple weeks, and I apologize for my tardiness. A mix of bad luck (I’ll get to that) and high degrees of illness helped, but really, I just failed.
So as for the bad luck,…I said I was going to get some video from our last show….well, I did…but the audio got very screwed up and is  a pretty much low-level buzzing with music faintly heard what seems to be several miles away. This, in layman’s terms, sucks, as the video was looking pretty nice. We’ll see if we can fix this soon, but, as usual, I probably shouldn’t apply a time-line for this as that usual results in epic failure. We’ll just say soon.
Anyways, aside from that and people being ridiculously busy and/or sick, things are slowly coming back together. We’ve got a couple of new songs in the works, a couple of new shows posted (again, I’ll get to that), and we should have new stickers and shirts sometime this spring. As always, let us know(here, myspace, or email) if you hear of any shows for us, we’d love to play and will do so if at all possible. The more ahead of time we know, the better.
EDIT 3/19/09: Unfortunatley, if you’re reading this now, you perhaps heard the thursday 3/12 show was canceled. I had an additional news post explaining that, but I decided to delete it and just make a note in this post……..you know…..for historical….purposes. and stuff. Anywho, enjoy the rest of this, person who is reading old posts.
THURSDAY – We are playing at the Moose Lodge in Doylestown and want to see you there. Here be the flyer:
3-12-09
Friday you can go see Burdens and Mother of Mercy in West Chester. We almost got to play this too, but unfortunately weren’t able to.

NEXT FRIDAY – We are playing Creep Industries in Phonexville, a nice little record store we’re looking forward to checking out. No flyer yet, still finalizing some bands. So far, expect us and The Heartland, who are on tour from Ohio. I’ll probably post a flyer next time I update.

Can’t think of other stuff currently. If I do, I’ll post it. Remind me if your brain works better.
Also, if you get a chance, ask Dan where a proper restroom is, apparently he forgets at night.

Stupendous.

So…tonight we got a new setlist together to change things up a bit and will be playing it saturday, including a new song you guys haven’t heard yet.
Still working on new stuff.
Still planning to throw in some random surprises when there is time to work them out.
Ordering new shirts this week. Other goodies to follow.
Hopefully we’ll get a decent video of a song or two since there hasn’t been any video of us online in like a year, haha. I’ll be trying to throw something together and put it up if things work out. Might do random videos every now and then, we’ll see how it goes. Hopefully, you can look for that next week.
So again, check out the show Saturday. 3 of the bands are touring I believe and it would be great if people came and checked everyone out. All pertinent info can be found here or here. Burdens is playing friday and sunday, so you should probably check those out and I just planned you whole damn weekend. You’re welcome, chet.

I suppose I’m a little late with an update, but there’s not much to say, haha.
We’ll be writing, sorting everything out so we can to start playing more, and, if we get time, a few surprises will pop up now and then. Changes coming in the summer, but you’ll hear about that when the time comes.
So, lets do this:
Support us and pick up the EP:

If you want a preview, you can stream the whole thing on Last.FM if you’re a member:

Communicate with us here or on myspace any time.

Oh, I did add some lyrics to a new one, but there is no title yet and none of you have heard it…well, not for a couple weeks at least…speaking of which, be here:
3 of those bands are touring and im sure they’d very much like some support, as would we.
